I am very bad at Gimp:-), but how about something like this as a logo for these forums?

I'm still working on the nose of the 'F' and some1 who's actually any good at using gimp might want to change the lighting and shading.

i quite like it. but this new one is good too, needs some touchup work, sadly i cannot really help with that.

First, let me say that I really, super-ultra appreciate your efforts on creating Gentoo Forums based artwork. Is this meant to be a link used to get to the forums from a different webpage? Who here is using the "gentoo" theme for phpBB? (This can be chosen in your profile.)

i'm using the Gentoo theme, it's great, i think we are just looking for another nice Gentoo forums logo. :-)

maybe to use as a picture to link to the forums, maybe just for the sake of nice Gentoo Artwork.

Something I would personally like to see for both gentoo and the gentoo forums would be a good jump-to image. There are several examples at this muttrc builder page near the bottom.
