I have a 3Com 3c905C-TX (tornado), which was working fine during the install. Everything emerged correctly and I decided to try to boot from my RAID array. It didn't work, so I figured I'd go back and try lilo after having read that grub might not be the best for scsi raid. Anyway, now the network card doesn't work even though it's detected when I boot from the cd.
gives me "ping: unknown host gentoo.org"
After doing an "emerge unmerge grub", I have no bootloader, so I kind of need the connection to get lilo. |

Did you edit your /etc/resolv.conf file? You have to put your DNS servers in that file. I would also make sure your general network connectivity works. Can you ping your default gateway? |

Nevermind, it magically started working. I don't know what happened. Maybe it just needed a few reboots to make it work... |
