Since my first days of being a mac addict i loved rendevouz. It was just to easy to be true. Now i have heard there is a linux version called howl.
www.swampwolf.com/products/
I now have the idea the ban my dhcp deamon and replace it with a zeroconf one.
I have a iBook, a linux server/router, 1 linux PowerDesktop and 2 wintels
I have no idea if the setup of a server will be easy.
I don't even know if i could setup thing like dns, router and wins ip's.
Does anyone have expirience with setting up a zeroconf server?
Or is it better to stay with dhcp. _________________ I am not superstitious, that brings bad luck. |

I'm so interested in learning more about this. Do you mind posting what you develop or perhaps posting something in Tips and Tricks? |

I will post any progress. As restricted by the unofficial worldwide forum rules
Don't have much time to do a lot of research. But since i am setting up i new server i thought why not try it at least. So i will spend some hours getting it to work. _________________ I am not superstitious, that brings bad luck. |
