merging gnome/gtk

while trying to do a emerge gnome i get a problem with one of the deps.

IOError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/usr/portage/distfiles/gtk+-directfb-2.0.5-gentoo.patch.bz2'

i have tried emerge rsync, and --clean neither helped. If you have any ideas on what I'm doing wrong plz help. a life without gnome is a life of no fun. j/k ofcourse.
