Hi, all
I have an issue with KMail. I don't use KDE as my desktop just use some applications.
I've emerged kdenetwork (uses kdelibs, which in turn uses qt, etc), there's also kdegraphics installed (for kghostview) but don't think it's relevant.
As for KMail interface - it's perfectly fine but the mail protocols (both pop & imap) don't work. KMail tells it can't open a pop/imap process.
The error message looks like this:
Code: |
ERROR: ERROR 3: couldn't create slave : Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Unknown protocol 'pop3'.
|
Is there a dependant package or USE (default 1.2 installation) option missing? |

come on guys, are there any KDE hackers awake?
my system is just too slow to compile a lot and the disk space is pretty limited as well
so I just can't emerge everything, I already reemerged kdenetwork and kdelibs at list twice it just takes forever on a PII233:(( |

Sorry for the late reply, my machine went dead and it took my awhile to reinstall Gentoo
POP and IMAP IOslaves are found in kdebase, if you haven't got it installed, emerge kdebase and everything should be OK. _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |
