|
|
Hi..
Does anyone know of any problems when trying to install gentoo on a dual machine?
I have a dual 733 with 512 meg registered ECC memory and 29160 scsi card. I can't seem to get past stage 1. It just hangs during compiling. I have run suse and mandrak on it without problems (including compiuling the kernel several times).
I have never had any prolems with compiling on that machine before..
Any ideas?? |

I'm on a dual P3 1.0 GHz box with 1024 MB of RAM and it runs Gentoo just fine.
...where does it hang? _________________ I don't believe in witty sigs. |

I've got a dual Athlon MP 2000+ with 512MB of Ram and everything is fine here.
BTW. I use Code: | alias make='make -j 2' |
to let my PC compile using both.
