Does anybody have the Radeon 8500 with the fglr200 drivers working with
winex. If so any help on how to do it would be greatly apreciated. I have been trying for about 2 weeks now and I can't seem to get it to work, however I can get winex to sourt of run with the DRI drivers being developed. |

| OK the new DRI snapshot drivers do not work for me. I was wondering do the fglrx drivers only support 24 bit color? |

I used the fglr200 with SuSE 8.0 and they worked well, but i didn't get GrandPrixLegends to work, althougth it should work with winex 2.0 (w/o Multiplayer-Network, only Single Player)...
I'm just installing Gentoo 1.4 in this moment, i hope my problems will be gone soon 
I think the driver will support 24bit only, because FireGL8800 is not a Card for Games but for CAD / professional OpenGL-Apps. Indeed, 16bit won't be much faster on ATI-Cards.
But I hope ATI will add XV-Support in future, mplayer scales ugly in software  |
