|
|
I've emerged both the latest stable Mozilla release and the latest Opera release from the emerge tree, they both do their thing, however, no menu items for either show up in KDE - even after restarting KDE and rebooting the computer....I'd assume this isn't standard behavior and I've done something wrong?
Thanks,
Jason |

They didn't for me either, probably because they were never designed to do so.
Add them to the menu manually. |

i just switched form mandrake 8.2 to gentoo and noticed this behavior also...
i have installed many applications (gaim, evolution, gimp... is it because these apps are gnome based?) and many times the menu icons don't get added automatically.
In mandrake this wasn't the case... also there was a command to search for applications and add them to the kde menu automatically...
anything similar in gentoo? _________________ Edward Alfert

In the k menu somewhere, there's a 'search for legacy applications' or something like that(I'm at school, no kde to look at). that'll do it for you. |

This is what KAppfinder is for. It searches for non KDE programs and adds them to menu. |
