Ok, there i saw the new ver of ymessenger and i emerged it, then i tried it:

liviu@mousetrap liviu $ /opt/ymessenger/bin/ymessenger
/opt/ymessenger/bin/ymessenger.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libgdk_pixbuf.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Any clue?

Can you check whether libgdk_pixbuf.so.2 is in /usr/lib? It comes from the package: media-libs/gdk-pixbuf-0.18.0-r1, which is listed as a dependency of ym.

mousetrap lib # emerge -p media-libs/gdk-pixbuf

These are the packages that I would merge, in order.

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild N ] media-sound/esound-0.2.28-r1 to /
[ebuild N ] gnome-base/gnome-libs-1.4.1.7 to /
[ebuild N ] media-libs/gdk-pixbuf-0.18.0-r1 to /
