Ciao,

i am trying to compile qemu (for fun) but it tells me i need gcc 3. I see that gcc 3 is not available on sparc and 2007.0...?

Nope, 2007.0 targets gcc4.
You'd need to use 2006.1 stages with a 2006.1 profile to use/keep gcc3, but then looking forward this won't last.

Not sure if this is still of any hel[/url]p to you, but would sys-libs/libstdc++-v3 be of any use to get round the gcc-3 not available problem. It provides gcc-3 compatible C++ libraries for packages that want to compile against gcc.
