| Ho visto questa opzione nella man page di emerge, e non capisco perche' non sia attivata di default... In fondo non fa nulla di male, non emerge mica pacchetti maskerati... |

first, i had altavista translate your message to english to read it.
i don't know why emerge --deep isn't activated by default. it should be.
whenever i do an emerge -pu world i now instead do emerge -pu --deep world
you could put something like
alias emerge="emerge --deep" in root's .bashrc file
i think that's a sensible reply to your post, but i'm not sure. i'm sorry if it isn't.

Ti faccio un personalissimo esempio pratico:
ho installato alcuni pacchetti masked, se mi limito ad aggiornare il sistema con un banale "emerge -U world" funziona tutto normalmente, mentre se lo faccio con anche l'opzione -D si lamenta delle dipendenze masked che non può soddisfare (le soddisferebbe aggiungendo un bel ACCEPT_KEYWORDS=~x86 davanti, peccato però che così facendo aggiornerebbe una miriade di pacchetti stabili con quelli masked...) e quindi non aggiorna.
Morale della favola? Meno opzioni di default vengono attivate meglio è. Gentoo è bella proprio perchè da il pieno controllo, permettendo al singolo utente di decidere il comportamento del suo sistema, come deve reagire e cosa deve fare. Cose che ad uno possono sembrare semplici ed utili, ad altri possono sembrare fastidiose. Nel dubbio meglio mettere a manina un -D in più (o adottare il sistema più drastico del nostro amico qui sopra)  |
