| the keramik install procedure says I have autoconf 2.13 when I have 2.53a...why is it doing this? |

2.53a installs both the 2.13 and 2.53 versions of the binary. Which version is run for a package depends on a bunch of things as described by:
/usr/lib/autoconf/ac-wrapper.pl to which /usr/bin/autconf is symlinked to.

just use
