Before you say search the forums. I will say I did. They didn't get into how to make smbd and nmbd start on boot up. I have WebMin installed, and can manually start them through the swat interface, and all works fine. I tried making a xinetd start up for them through webmin using ports 139/tcp 137/udp for smbd and nmbd respectivly. When the computer starts up xinetd starts just fine. I look at the swat interface, and it says they are started, but I cannot access the comp. It doesn't even show up in the list. Is there a better way to get smbd and nmbd to start on boot up.

Thanks

Always check for init scripts when you install a new daemon... good rule. :D
