Hello:
I have an USB modem which uses the ueagle-atm module and the first time gentoo loads it loads the modem firmware and all its ok. The problem is that when I disconnect the modem (or remove the module ueagle-atm) if I connect the modem again (or try to load the module again) the kernel can't find the firmware anymore.
This is what i get from /var/log/messages when my pc boots:
Nov 22 02:40:00 phoenix usb 2-2: [ueagle-atm] ADSL device founded vid (0X1110) pid (0X9021) : Eagle II
Nov 22 02:40:00 phoenix usb 2-2: [ueagle-atm] using iso mode
Nov 22 02:40:00 phoenix usb 2-2: [ueagle-atm] (re)booting started
Nov 22 02:40:07 phoenix usb 2-2: [ueagle-atm] modem operational
Nov 22 02:40:07 phoenix usb 2-2: [ueagle-atm] ATU-R firmware version : 44e2ea17
and this is what i get when i disconnect and connect the modem again:
Nov 22 02:44:29 phoenix usb 2-2: [ueagle-atm] ADSL device founded vid (0X1110) pid (0X9022) : Eagle II
Nov 22 02:44:29 phoenix usb 2-2: reset full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 6
Nov 22 02:44:29 phoenix usb 2-2: [ueagle-atm] pre-firmware device, uploading firmware
Nov 22 02:44:29 phoenix usb 2-2: [ueagle-atm] loading firmware ueagle-atm/eagleII.fw
Nov 22 02:44:39 phoenix usb 2-2: [UEAGLE-ATM] firmware is not available
this started to happen after I made the last gentoo update.
Any idea of what should I do?
Thanks in advance |
