|
|
I accidentally mixed up my harddrives and performed a quick format on a ext3 partition (10GB). I have a bunch of media files on that partition so I'm wondering if anybody knows about a utility that can recognize media files that are contiguous and extract them. There must be such a utility! I'd program it myself 'cept my programming skills isn't quite capable of such a task. _________________ Ole Johansen

Quick formatting; doesn't that wipe out all the superblocks?
If so, you're pretty much screwed. I'm sure some forensic lab could help you out, but those run about $10K per hour... _________________ I don't believe in witty sigs. |

6.20 Ext2 undelete utilities:

Should be fully compatible with ext3, but I've never used them and I don't know if they can do something about your situation...you haven't got anything to lose though |
