sdhc SD MMC with 2.6.15 kernel

I'm using the 2.6.15-gentoo-r8 kernel because of acpi problems on higher versions, however sdhc sd mmc comes with version .17 and higher, so I went to the developer site but couldn't find the source code there.
Is there a way I could use the source code from more recent kernels and put it in the .15 kernel with proper compiling?
