Installing without network card

When I download the ISO, where would I need to put packages for portage to read off my CD? Any other tips would be helpfull

Portage looks in /usr/portage/distfiles (by default) to see if it already has the appropriate tarball before attempting to download it. If you put a load of tarballs on a CD, you need to copy them to that directory, mount the CD at that point, or set the DISTDIR environment variable to point to the directory of your liking.
