I attempted to wemege nagios
Code:
root@codd sysweb # emerge -p nagios

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies |
emerge: there are no masked or unmasked ebuilds to satisfy ">=qstat-

Now that is explicable, qstat is obviously in a part of the portage tree listed in my rsync_excludes file
Code:
root@codd sysweb # cat /etc/portage/rsync_excludes
# SLAIS-sysweb@*********        2003-04-25
# CODD.***************
# rsync_excludes for Gentoo 1.4_rc4

app-benchmarks
app-cdr
app-emacs
app-games
app-pda
app-sci
app-xemacs
dev-ml
gnome-base
gnome-extra
kde-base
#media-gfx
media-sound
media-video
net-dialup
net-irc
net-wireless
sys-cluster
# x11-base
# x11-libs
# x11-misc
# x11-plugins
# x11-terms
x11-themes
# x11-wm

Modifying rsynce_excludes would obviously solve the problem, but looking through the Package Listing I find qstat in app-games/qstat. Now app-games is precisely the category of ebuild I want to keep off my system so is there an alternative?
Could I, for instance, create an rsync_includes file to just allow qstat as an exception? Or, should qstat really be in app-games?
