I just rsynced today, and went to emerge kde and recieved the following error

Code:
!!! Problem in kde-base/kde dependancies.
!!! list index out of range

Any ideas?

I am just doing emerge kdebase right now, and its working, but I dont know what else would be installed from just doing kde

I have not seen this error, but checking the install guide for desktop gentoo there are some good tips:

1) make sure your use flags have
kde, qt, -gtk, -gnome

2) emerge xfree before you emerge kde

3) confirm that X works before you emerge kde

Whenever you get errors like that after an emerge rsync, I suggest that you wait a couple of hours and then do another emerge rsync as it may just be some problems with the portage tree.

If not, I suggest that you log a bug at bugs.gentoo.org about the issue.
