When will we have the ppp and pppoe files on the install disk so that we don't have to run out to a cybercafe (and if it rains, get an umbrella) to boot into windows, download the files, put them on a floppy, go back home, etc... ?
Also, why isn't ADSL setup explained in the install text, as we have it with networking/ethernet ? (or, if networking is explained, why is ADSL not ? The majority of people are using ADSL).
Would it be too complicated to have:
1. ppp, pppoe on the install disk
2. in the install text, under networking : "If you want to install adsl, build ppp, pppoe, and then run adsl-setup."
--> EASY !!
When will we have that ?
Thanks ! |

I believe that 1.4 will have that on the install iso. so thats another thing to look forward to. As for the docs .... they are great but it would be nice if they were maintained a little better and explained several different ways of installing. I personally dont have time to do it but maybe someone else does. |
