When searching ebuilds with emerge -S, most, though not all, matching packages have errors in the output:
| Code: |
* media-video/rivatv-0.8.0-r1
!!! There has been an error. Please report this via IRC or bugs.gentoo.org
!!! mycpv: media-video/rivatv-0.8.0-r1-0.8.0-r1
!!! mysplit: ['media-video', 'rivatv-0.8.0-r1-0.8.0-r1']
!!! psplit: None
!!! error: unsubscriptable object
Latest version available: 0.8.0-r1
Latest version installed: [ Not Installed ]
Size of downloaded files: [no/bad digest]
Homepage: http://rivatv.sourceforge.net/
Description: kernel driver for nVidia based cards with video-in
|
This doesn't happen when searching ebuild names only with -s.
I recently updated to portage 2.0.48 and have only just noticed the errors. |

Its always the same error. I think it started when I upgraded portage to 2.0.48. I have searched the forum but havn't found anything about it. |

| I found out that I only get this error if I use -S(as noted) and the ebuild have the version number in the name. |
