I'm behind a firewall and the only outside access I have on my gentoo box is http/ftp/pop3.
The snapshots directory on the gentoo mirror sites don't update very often (at the moment the latest snapshot is from the 22nd.) and so emerge-webrsync is pretty out of date. I do have access to a machine (non-gentoo, Sun) which I can use CVS from. Is there a CVS repository of the portage tree I could sync with? Or failing that it might be possible to use rsync from it (I don't think I can though).
Alternatively is there anywhere else which keep regular frequent snapshots of the portage tree (the gentoo mirrors don't).
Thanks.

I'm also behind a firewall, so I'm in the same situation as mark_p. Are snapshots now only being released each week, or what is happening? Are there any unofficial sites with newer snapshots? _________________ Kind regards, enrique
