that is very nice, I am curious as to your site however (the screenshots link in your sig). Do you have some managed hosting or are you just on a really nice connection? All of your screenshot thumbnails loaded immedietly, so i was just a bit curious as to your secret.

Thanks :) I'm actually on a shared hosting package with a newish (c. 3 years old) UK company (hosted on a dual opteron w. 2GB ram as far as I can make out - been some upgrades recently, though not sure what the connection speed is - usually seems pretty speedy :)).

That's pretty sleek man, when I get my laptop back I'm going to experiment with GNOME, KDE and Fluxbox to try to make a great UI.
Props on that again. Nice font for date, etc....

Thanks, I had to do some editing to the kbf theme to make it fit better which is the vista theme available from kdelook.org. About the font, I was just searchin through which fonts looked cool and that one caught my eye, not sure which font package it comes from but its in portage.

Yup, if you get the latest version of kbfx thats what your menu will look like by default but it will have a different theme. You can install or make your own themes for it, some nice themes are available from http://kdelook.org.
As for the folders not showing, I'm not sure. I couldnt get the kbfx in portage to work so I used the cvs version off the kbfx site: http://www.kbfx.org/staticpages/index.php?page=20060224122953187#cvs. I saw somewhere on the forums some people had problems with their menu not showing up, but I think using the latest cvs version fixes it.

Here's a little preview of my new compiz theme based off Gilouche. This is compiz, not metacity meaning you can get all the wobbly windows and scaler plugin goodness. I'll put up a link to it once I get everything fixed.

Click me!
Gilouche compiz theme
You need gcompizthemer and most likely need to be using Quinn's compiz.

it's made white or whot's the diference with the original?

maybe we should be writing a theme loader instead of hacking on the source itself to change themes no...

There is a theme loader out there. It's called gcompizthemer. The difference between this theme and the default compiz is huge. It's like comparing a fluxbox look to the default Clearlooks metacity theme. :P
