i read the sticky about 2.3.2. gnome and thought i'd also have a go at it.

Not a lot is it?
Looking @ my ebuilds i saw that the originate from 2.2 somewhere in late feb. 2003(yes i did a emerge sync ofcourse)so i think it's strange. even if i did the above command. IT SHOULD update just because i compiled gnome on a none ACCEPT_KEYWORDS='~86' basis.
Can't find anything special in my make.conf what's made me think of a solution.. and that's why i'm here 
hope you can give me a solution
[EDIT] the same goes for xfree and evolution and probably much other apps.
So sorry i didn't mention it wasn't only gnome. but gnome made me think about other programs as well
