| i've emerged xgl and so on, folowing the wiki. Xgl starts fine. both in windowed and full screen modes. If i try not to load compiz - everething is ok - i see windows and so on (using fluxbox). But then i try to start compiz - it starts, and i see blank (white) restangles instead of windows %) actually there re paths of deorations and so on from time to time, then i move them %( So i think its a compiz trouble... Did anyone hear something about such a situation? |

i changed compiz to quinnstorm - now then i try to start any app - xgl crashes %(

ok. now it works in windowed mode. The only trouble is, that i have to pass LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/opengl/nvidia/lib/libGL.so Xgl :1 -ac -accel glx:pbuffer -accel xv & every time. Its ok in nested mode, but i think it prevents me from setting kdm up to use xgl - in kdm log theres same error, i had before.
Any workarounds? I folowed wiki, then setting up kdm. |

| i guess - it may be because of framebuffer console... How do i get text console back? Anyone got XGL working from fb console? |

update. XGl actually works. but without preloading libGL only  Then i preload it on start of xgl (even without compiz) i see a white screen, and machine hangs. Then i dont preload it - compize doeznt work Any ideas? |

| reemerging kernel helped - there was a problem with nvidia kernel driver (it was screwed until i recompiled linux kernel) |
