|
|
I am using gentoo 1.4.rc3
I wanted to emerge mod_php and php with net-snmp,but I find whenever I emerge mod_php or php with snmp support ucd-snmp gets installed though net-snmp is already installed
As a result ucd-snmp becomes default in my system for all snmp commands
Pls help.
Can I unmerge ucd-snmp after I emerge php and mod_php with snmp support and keep the net-snmp only |

Heh... I've been meaning to try and ask someone about that. Almost all the packages that use snmp require ucd-snmp not net-snmp. I don't really know why. net-snmp is supposed to be compatable and preffered.
Anyhow....
Just emerge net-snmp after ucd-snmp is installed. Everything will be fine, the apps that require the ucd-snmp libs can have them and net-snmp will be propperly working. |
