I don't think its appropriate to abuse mod privilages by posting to a discussion after its locked. I could be wrong. Lock this thread if I am please.
edit I'm such an idiot. I should really read more!
My bad!

One would think if you have the ability to post to a locked thread, you would be able to delete your post to that thread. Could be misconstrued as someone posting their own political beliefs and then preventing anyone who disagrees with them from responding. I am sure this is not the case...or is it? Hmmm? _________________ Registered Linux User #332738

Mods are people, too - and they sometimes make small mistakes. Except me of course.

Now if we really wanted that, implementing it this way would be a rather lame conspiracy. _________________ Dinosaur week! (Ok, this thread is so last week) |

if you follow the progress of this thread you will see that Sugar was calling himself an idiot since he spotted where his mistake was

Ah, insulting yourself is ok, wasn't sure who exactly he was referring to. _________________ Dinosaur week! (Ok, this thread is so last week) |

What you have to remember is that all good threads, even the locked ones, must end with the truth. It's like when you're a kid and your parents are trying to teach you decent values so the stories always finish with "...and they all lived happily ever after". It allows the left to know there is still justice and goodness in the world, and it allows the right to think "those lefties are living in a fairytale world". The thread's locked, the ending is written, the war's over, and both sides go away happy. |

Well, since you seem to be talking about me, I think I should clear things up.
I don't know if you're aware of it or not, but mods/admins still have the quote button on a locked thread. After reading the post I replied too, I pressed that button. I'm not sure whether the thread was locked at that time or not - I just didn't noticed it. After I finished writing my post and pressed the submit button, I finally noticed that the thread was locked. That's why I edited the post. _________________ Jorge.

It'd be much nicer if we didn't have to lock threads at all, but some users don't help with it _________________ "I'm just very selective about the reality I choose to accept." -- Calvin |

Yes it's a shame when we cannot bash gays, americans, blacks, jews, christians, muslims, right-wingers, left-wingers, and mambers of other faiths or political beliefs freely without threads being locked. _________________ Occupation: Professional Slacker

You most certainly can bash those goddamn faggots, Amurikans, niggers, kikes, Jesus Culters, towel heads, right-dumbasses, left-dumbasses and members of other cults or gang beliefs freely without fear of the thread getting locked.
What you can't do is actually direct any of those words towards a specific member of the forum, that would be a personal attack. As long as you are generalising it's OK. Of course, you won't make many friends here if you do start going around making fun of people for those above stated attributes but that's up to you. Personally, I only make fun of the Jesus Culters 'cause they have an actual real world impact on my life. But I don't do it to any specific member of the forums directly.
For instance, if you say "I hate curtis119 because he is a cock sucking faggot" I would ban your ass but if you say "I don't like fags" you would be fine.
There is a very subtle difference but I hope you can see it. _________________ Please read the Forum Guidelines.

depends, if that statement is true then it isn't taking the piss, it is stating fact. You cant be done for stating fact _________________ A free press is the unsleeping guardian of every other right that free men prize; it is the most dangerous foe of tyranny. I don't think sugar was calling the mod an idiot, I think they were callingthemselves an idiot. If you read up to their post before that, look at their "edit" statement. _________________ It's interesting how much you learn, you really DON'T know about computers, when you don't have an operating system that configures everything for you. |

I must admit I like you. You never fail to amuse me.
edit: TheWhiteKnight beat me to it.
but let's just put it this way: every gay person I've met has either made me want to blow my own brains out or blow their brains out. You just make me laugh. You're A-OK in my book. _________________ < bmg505> I think the first line in reiserfsck is
