| I've searched through the forum and found a topic that said to edit package.mask and remove the >= from the begining of the line. In my file the line was commented out. I uncommented the line, removed the >=, and tried emerge net-www/apache-2.0.0 but I still couldn't install it. What do I have to do? I'm using 1.4_rc2. |

It is masked out by the KEYWORDS="..."-Statement within the ebuild itself.
But why??? Isn't apache2 much more stable than apache1? _________________ Sex is like hacking. You get in, you get out, and you hope you didnt leave something behind that can be traced back to you. |

For some reason Apache 2 is regarded as less stable by The Apache Foundation, I think just because it hasn't been tested to the same extent as Apache 1 yet. Just a thought. _________________ -Mark- |
