| I know google just came out with picasa for linux, but they have not yet done so with google desktop. I know you can get most of the features of google desktop with different linux utils. However, there are a few things in the google desktop that are very well integrated with google searches, such as the gmail extension, and the g calendar extension for the side bar. Does anyone know of any linux programs that can effectively use these? Particularly, the calendar? I know that evolution can read the calendar data, but my understanding is that it cannot right data to the online calendar. |

They "ported" picaa to linux using winelib, they natively ported Google Earth more recently.
Give them some time, and in the mean time there is Beagle. |

| Certainly Google is going to shoot for the largest user base first as I would expect any company too. Patience... |
