Ok, technically it's season 27 or something, but it's the 2nd season of the new series and i think season 2 could become as great as the first one.
It's strange, but even though David Tennant replaced Christopher Eccleston it just feels like the same person. Great job! _________________ Dinosaur week! (Ok, this thread is so last week) |

However, I'm pleasantly surprised with how well this season is shaping up. | Tennant is fucking superb. Eccleston had nothing to do with the rest of the doctors aside from the name. While we're here - Season 2? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? Many more than two seasons, laddie. |

I think Tennant makes an excellent Doctor. Eccleston didn't strike me as being quite believable as a Doctor; too excitable and aggressive. Don't get me wrong, I loved the first series (the part where he screams at the Daleks and they actually back away was positively spine tingling) but I feel that Tennant brings it back into line with tradition.
I regret that the first episode is the only one I will see until the series comes out on DVD, since I don't have TV reception where I live. I only saw the first one because I was away over the easter holidays. |

| This morning while sitting on the toilet, I reran the first episode in my head. Only after i'd wiped my arse did I realise that I'd substituted Eccleston for Tennant all the way through. None of the dialogue or action seemed out of place with the "wrong" actor. |

| I like it a lot first off, but I have to say Eccleston's Doctor was amazing to me. I like Tennant, and I hope that after the end of this season I'll think he has a similar caliber of magic to him. I hope they stick with the intent to make season 2 less earth-centric; I imagine as a writer setting all these stories in our backyard is a tempting and fruitful thing, but it would get tiresome eventually. In the Christmas episode they seemed to indicate it is there intent to make things less earth-bound. |

Now, I know I'm probably not the only person who watches this series, or has followed it for as long as he could. Im sure some of our british compatriots know this series well. How can they not, it's to Britain what Star Trek and Star Wars was to the US in terms of pop cultural significance.
I've been downloading and watching the new series BBC put out recently (Yes I watch BBC some) and happen to like what the new crew have done with the show. Still would like to see more about the Time War and such. _________________ [Owner/Operator: Dhampir Dreams]

Eccelson in my opinion did great as the Doctor, especially when you concider his doctor was the first we've seen since this TIme War. I've downloaded the Second Series with Tennent, think he does absolutly fabulous in his roll.
Still, I have to wonder if they are counting Paul McGann from that TV movie a few years back. If so, we've only got 2 more Doctors until this time lord dies for the last time. _________________ [Owner/Operator: Dhampir Dreams]

The two eps dealing with the Pit were fantastic. Honestly, I can't believe they went after such a creature in this series. It's actually a great two parter.
Still kind of sad Billie Pipper is leaving the show. Wondering what her blaze of Glory is going to be. _________________ [Owner/Operator: Dhampir Dreams]

Forget that!!!! you know who they have got to replace Billy?
In these 2-parter finish to this series with the Darleks and Cybermen you know that black girl that was one of the first in the torchwood lab to get the ear-pods and equally she died when the Dr dis-connecter her (and the pod was pulled off her and that long gooy thing was pulled out of her head)
yes her, the DEAD character, she is the new "and co" _________________ A free press is the unsleeping guardian of every other right that free men prize; it is the most dangerous foe of tyranny.
