|
|
1. Install wine (duh)
2. Get oDC (http://odc.gempond.com/) or DC++ (http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/) and unpack it to an directory with read write permissions
3. Copy riched20.dll (only needed with oDC) and comctl32.dll from a Windows system(32) directory into .wine/fake_windows/Windows/System/
4. Edit your wine config so that it contains the following lines
Code: | [AppDefaults\\oDC.exe\\DLLOverrides]
"riched20.dll" = "native"
"comctl32.dll" = "native" |
If you use DC++ just replace oDC.exe with DCPlusPlus.exe and skip the riched20.dll line.
5. All set now you should be able to run oDC/DC++ in wine _________________ I don't believe in God, but I'm afraid of him! |

There are no DC++ for Linux... or?
The tip works fine though, thanks alot, now it's off to tweak it to run alittle smoother, funny thing is that it updates the user list faster then the native dc_gui (using dctc/gtk) does, shows you how much those suck. _________________ Gentoo | AMD X2 3800+ 2GB RAM | Kernel 2.6.30 . MezzUp> Because many hubs only accept DC++ and oDC, they don't even accept the neomodus client. |
