I presume that the forums server runs on gentoo, this is good stress test for the distro , which seems quite stable as a server as well

Speaking of statistics, I just realized that I account for one kilopost out of 34 kiloposts total. Not bad...
Of course, klieber has one and a half kiloposts. If I hadn't gone away for a week, I bet I could have caught him.

This is a very good question. I am amazed at the sheer volume and response speed of delta407's posts. It's almost as if he is the forum. Perhaps, he'll enlighten us, though I doubt I would. Mystic is better than reality most of the time. I'm betting he's a librarian or something.

delta407 is really an advanced AI project that the developers are working on. They'll
tell you they don't have time for a GUI installer or other eye candy features. The real
reason is 'cause the AI project eats up alot of their time.

Yes, the forums run on Gentoo. If it weren't for a power hiccup just over 4 days ago, we would have no downtime on the server since it started...

Just as an FYI to anyone following this thread, I ran a query tonight that deleted anyone who had an inactive account more than 1 week old. (These are mostly people who registered with a fake email address 'cause they think they're clever and then couldn't activate their account)
So, # of registered users dropped by 173 tonight.
