|
|
Hey guys, I've got some working rhythmbox cvs ebuilds. I've taken a look at how CVS is going right now, and it looks pretty nice. Faster. So these ebuilds work for me, and they work for a friend of mine. I cannot make ANY promises or guarentees these will work, as they just download the latest CVS. But if you encounter any portage-related errors, or config errors because of deps, or have any suggestions about changing these, please comment. It seems like rhythmbox is getting good again, and I'd LOVE to see it enter portage.
CAUTION: THIS IS CVS SOFTWARE. DO NOT EXPECT IT TO WORK FLAWLESSLY.
DO NOT COME TO THE RHYTHMBOX DEVELOPERS WITH PROBLEMS. PLEASE POST COMPILE ERRORS AND STUFF HERE FIRST, AND IF ITS NOT A EBUILD ISSUE, I WILL TALK WITH THE DEVELOPERS.
They're not exactly fond of Gentoo and its user base (last time I asked anyway), so be kind. And remember this is CVS software. Its not even Beta.

The monkey-media ebuild is included in that. Just untar to PORTDIR_OVERLAY. Good luck fellow bleeding edge Gnome users. _________________ Peace love and penguins |

Playlists are broken, but for library and internet radio it seem
solid. Not ONE single crash yet. _________________ Mark Finlay - Gnome Hacker of Sorts

yeah it's nice, but it still has serious issues. Still the best bet we have for a decent media player on Linux. |

Hey cool. Nice to know about that site. I've recently switched back to Gentoo. So I've been slightly outta the loop. _________________ Peace love and penguins |

Where can I make recommendations for changing some of those ebuilds? There are some old dependencies in there that need to be fixed in order for the mm and rb ebuilds to work. _________________ Peace love and penguins |
