A friend of mine is a photographer. Some time ago he told me that he planned a foto shooting with a professional model. So I gave him a Gentoo T-Shirt and said jokingly: "Could you probably take a photo of her wearing that shirt? So we would have some nice basics for wallpapers etc. because images with "Gentoo-Girls" are very rare" ;-)

. Well, and he did it.

The model agreed that these photos may be published. The original photos can be requested for various artwork (ca. 2000x3000px, RAW or JPEG) directly at the photographer - for free - per email and may be used for private, non-commercial purposes. The designer agrees to not publish artwork without the permission of the photographer and the model. This means that you have to send your artwork to the photographer and he will publish it himself (if you like he is willing to publish your name too). If this cooperation turns out well and the community shows interest he promised to publish more Gentoo photos with other models.

Could you ask your friend to release a larger version of the first photo? I would like to make a background image from it.

Please, include:
- A license that alows me to release the background (CC is a good choice);
- His name and the name of the model (to give them credits).

I know. He reread the contract and there a an paragraph that spoken words are not accepted and must be write down. But I think (and hope) it will resolved asap. This is the savest way, otherwise he has the trouble if anything goes wrong. Because this is the first time it can be take longer, but at the second he know what to do.

hi,

those pictures, besides taste (that are at level of bathroom of men-only bars or something like) are of everything except proffissionalism.
I don't know if the girl is a professional model or not, she dont' look like (just a girl with a stereotype of a sedution pose, in one or two pics look more like a man disguised as woman, bad makeup+bad ilumination some times lead to that effect) but the photographer is an absolute amateur.
Besides the basic primary sexism, technically speeching, the light is awful, the relation with the space bad, the relation with the model all wrong.

If someone wants a picture of women with few clouds on why not pic one of the zillions of (at least good technic) the kind that exist on net and use gimp to put a gentoo icon on breast or bottom or what ever?...

Those do nothing good for the model (on the contrary).
