Hi all. I'm trying to upgrade the Openboot firmware of my Ultra10 but it doesn't seem to like me. It is currently running OpenBSD 3.8 but I want to give Gentoo another whirl on it, but before that I want to upgrade the firmware (3.15.2, dated 1998).
First off I just followed the instructions in the firmware archive - copying the file to the root and specifying "boot disk /flash-update-Ultra510-latest" on the OBP prompt - but the OpenBSD bootloader didn't seem to like that at all.
Now I am trying to use netboot instead, and I have rarpd running (and responding) on my laptop. The problem is tftpd (tftpd-hpa) doesn't seem to want to respond. Here is the log from my current attempt:
Code: | May 22 13:12:22 localhost rarpd[31572]: RARP request from 08:00:20:b0:b6:db on wlan0
May 22 13:12:22 localhost rarpd[31572]: RARP response to 08:00:20:b0:b6:db 192.168.1.4 on wlan0
May 22 13:12:22 localhost in.tftpd[5372]: RRQ from 192.168.1.4 filename C0A80104
May 22 13:12:40 localhost in.tftpd[5439]: RRQ from 192.168.1.4 filename C0A80104
May 22 13:14:15 localhost in.tftpd[5777]: RRQ from 192.168.1.4 filename C0A80104
May 22 13:14:29 localhost in.tftpd[5826]: RRQ from 192.168.1.4 filename C0A80104 |
/tftpboot is owned by nobody:nogroup and the file /tftpboot/C0A80104 is a symlink pointing to flash-update-Ultra510-latest, which is also residing in /tftpboot.
Can someone give me a clue as to why tftpd doesn't seem to send the file?

Nevermind, I think I got it: Pass "-s /tftpboot" to tftpd(-hpa).
