xitel dg2 and minidisc

OK, so I am thinking of getting back into minidiscs, and I am curious if the xitel DG2 (usb -> digital adapter) will work with gentoo?? I think that it is a standard USB audio device, so it should be very simple to get working, but I just want to see if anybody knows for sure or has any experience with it.

Yes. It works with ALSA (as in zuiko's link) or with kernel OSS drivers. All you have to do is turn on "USB Audio Support" in the kernel configuration.
