bootowanie, dziwny problem

mam dziwny problem z bootowaniem systemu.
mniej wiecej co drugie/trzecie uruchomienie wyskauje kernel panic z informacja ze nie moze podmontowac katalogu glownego. wtedy robie restart i juz idzie normalnie.

w czym moze byc problem skoro raz przechodzi a innym razem sie wywala?

Dysk SATA?
Cos jeszcze podpiete pod SATA? Jezeli tak to mozliwe jest, ze raz komp wykrywa dysk jako pierwsze urzadzenie, a kiedy indziej jako drugie

Tak, SATA.
Tylko jeden dysk wpięty na SATA i cdrom na IDE.

???
masz w grubie ustawione root=/dev/sda*
*numer partycji z systemem?
