been meaning to try out Alex Graveley's (Tomboy dev) new project, Gimmie http://www.beatniksoftware.com/gimmie/, and was put off by one of the requirements (http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/gimmie/BUILDING?rev=1.2&view=markup), python-gmenu. looks as if Debian's got a build for it here (http://packages.debian.org/unstable/python/python-gmenu), but i didn't see a build for it in Gentoo. am i missing it, or is not present?

Update: it would appear that the Gnome 2.14 dependencies addressed Gimmie's requirements, with the exception of libgnomecups, which you'll have to upgrade to x86.

Hi, I know there isn't a release yet, but is there a CVS/SVN ebuild out there?
Someone can write one?

no ebuild that i'm aware of, but it's pretty easy to build from source.

Sorry to resurrect such an old post, but I've gotten interested in gimmie, and I'm wondering if it's possible to get python-gmenu without installing all of Gnome.

I managed to compile and install it, but it won't launch on my system. Could that be because I don't have a full Gnome installation?
