I installed Debian on my Sun Sparcstation 20 (pizzabox). Sun's Solaris didn't boot but that could be my fault since I haven't much experience with Sun's . Debian now runs 161 days on it accoring to uptime. Works quite well. _________________ Daily life and stuff. |

If you want to go productiv with your sun, linux might not be the best choice.
It depends on your hardware(an ultra 60 should run fine with linux) and what applications you want to run on it.
For me linux on sparc does a fine job as a webserver with php and mysql but if i'd to run java programs like tomcat i whould install solaris on it.
Maybe you can specify your questions a bit _________________ Black Holes are created when God divides by zero! |
