This has got to be the fastest release for a desktop environment I've ever seen in a Linux distribution!
Good work!
One quick question. Since I'm installing GNOME for the first time, is there a way to rebuild all the applications I currently have install with GNOME support built-in?
That is, if I put "gnome" in the USE variable, any further compiles will have GNOME support, but doing a `emerge -u world` won't recompile those packages that I already compiled w/out GNOME that can have GNOME support since they are not actually newer versions.
I suppose I could do a `emerge world`, but that would recompile everything and take a long time
Thanks! |

Unless you have USE="-gnome" then all your applications were built with gnome support. _________________ This message self destructed a long time ago. |

Kudos to Gentoo developers. The release cycle for two of the major Desktop Environments in Linux (Gnome2 and KDE3.0.2 which is already in portage) is nothing but amazing.
Great work guys _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |
