hi i finaaly got around to installing gentoo on my new computer (see sig) and was wondering if anyone could possibly help with my kernel config. this is the first amd64 machince i have ever used so i am not familiar with the ins and outs of it. for basic information use my sig link also heres the lspci -v of the machine. thanks for the help.

I doubt anyone is going create & post a .config file for you :-P

Why not start by compiling in SerialMonkeys ralink drivers for your ra2500?

well you could use your RTL-8139 temporarily unless I've missed something.

Also http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml?part=1&chap=7 may be of interest to you.

never expected that just wanted some thoughts on some things like how do i enable hypertransport for my proc and what about sata? wheres that? some things i can't seem to find.

as for rt2500 it doesn't work with a smp kernel and running wire isn't an option for me though i wish it were...
