In response to the boycott I think it is only fair that we exercise our right to support Denmark over the free speech issue.

I urge everybody to buy whatever Danish products you can, Lurpak, Danish bacon et cetera.

We should compile a list of products you can buy instead of your normal ones, please list them here and i will add them. This is a list for free speech.

    Lurpak (butter)
    Danish Bacon
    Carlsberg
    Lego
    bang & olufsen
    danfoss
    grundfos
    velux
    gori
    coloplast
    novo-nordisk
    danish pastries
    Ceres
    Tuborg

I'm all for it. Bought the butter, bought some cookies and I'll be buying lots of things made in Denmark for at least the next few months.

To all the Muslims who can't deal with it..... :P

But please, don't buy any danish movies by Lars von Trier - not even this is worth sitting through one of his "master pieces".

Any product from Arla Foods (Dairy), they are currently loosing 1 million GBP a day due to the boycott.

If you need new highend hifi, tv, dvd equipment, B&O provides

Hah, what a coincidence, I have no clue what this free speech stuff is about
but yesterday a friend and me drank some Carlsberg Elephant (strong) beer and decided to get more of it.
I'll just have to find a job, buying cans from a petrol station is too expensive for the amount we're aiming for (2-3 crates for now)
hmm

I don't know if this whole issue really is about free speech. AFAIK immigration matters, asylum handling and racism are ubiquitous issues of danish politics since the last 15 years or so. After all Rasmussen relys on a party like the Dansk Folkeparti as coalition partner.

The cartoons were published in late september. In october a delegation of diplomats of eleven islamic countries tried to have a talk with Rasmussen, but he refused to be bothered with this matter. 8O

I also think, that it was a quite stupid idea to make cartoons of Mohammed in the first place. And the cartoons itself were lousy made too. They targeted the prophet instead of islamic fundamentalism!

Of course, this is not an excuse for threatening people but I can understand that some people are pissed.
