hmmmm this is my problem....
I can't play sound with xmms not as normal user or root .... sound is working on other apps .
I use eSound and OSS output plugin ....
If play sound the xmms stops working like crushing ....
I opend it from a terminal but it doesnt output any message
help me |

First of all make sure your user is in the audio group. Secondly you might wanna add:
to /etc/modules.autoload
Thats my idea. |

well I'am in audio group .... but no sound I'am not using alsa I'am using OSS and eSound plugin sound on other apps works fine |

i presume you use kde, right? ...well there are two solutions:
1. you turn off arts (in kde)
2. you run xmms like this: (well i think it was arts, if not try artsdsp or arts-whatever) _________________ tea+free software+law=hook
(deep inside i'm still a tux's little helper) |

well first I'am using fluxbox no kde ....
and I installed alsa but it says can't find /dev/sound/dsp
?? |
