I don't know how long this will last before it is deleted but the having been given a temporary ban from OTW my account has been completely frozen out so I cannot log in at all under Gowator. Im guessing the 4 weeks are up but how can I tell when the admins have obviously decided to censor.
For anyone who remembers I was banned for pointing out the facist nature of these posts...

In case anyone wants to contact me and to let it be know the mods or admins lie
I was banned for 4 weeks but they have locked out the account so I can't log in which is effectively the same thing permanently!
I didn't complain about being banned for 4 weeks and got on with it but this is an inciduous way to make a ban permanent without anyone here even knowing. Meanwhile I see AA continues with impunity. |

I just checked your account, you were - as intended banned from OTW - but nothing else. If can not log in something may be broken, the OTW ban only bans you from OTW (hence the name OTW ban).

Right. Actually we sit in a sekrit irc channel all day and plan how to censor and discriminate users by banning them for four weeks and not unbanning them afterwards. You could just have reminded us about it. Anyway, i've unbanned you from OTW now.

You were banned for violating the forum rules about personal attacks, if you find your arch-nemesis AA post something like that, report it. So far you were the one who violated those rules and got banned about it.

No, we won't delete this thread. We never did anything but banning you from OTW for attacking a community member.

OTW has become quite boring recently (there are only so many US-bashing threads that the small number of EU ppl can do)
If Gowator is banned so should Albert_Alligator as well, equally quite a few ppl.

If he steps over the line and someone reports it (or we find it ourselves) he will be banned as every member of the community. So far nothing has been reported to do that.
Apart from that, discussing AA is very OT in this thread anyway.

Everything said in the thread at the top is from AA ...
This is just the last 10 or so posts he made before I was banned after telling someone to ignore him for behaving like a ... well whatever you think a person is who posts the things he posted... In my books that is certainly extreme facist nationalism however the mods obviously don't see anything wrong in those posts ...
Rather what Lord_myth said... he is basically brutual and insulting to everyone who disagrees (and sometimes those who agree as well) and he certainly makes it a personal attack...

Well that is what I thought.... strange thing is about the time it was meant to expire I was unable to log-in using Firefox, Opera or Konqueror at all and just keep being directed in an endless loop ... if this is not the intention then sorry but it seemed to me like this was done about the same time I was banned.
I didn't bring up this at the time because I know I did overstep the guidlines and I believe that if someone does this they should wait it out. I didn't mind being banned since I broke guidleines and the mods need to have a basic authority so I didn't argue and neither is the fact I was responding to a racist attack cause to break the rules but I would be interested to see on what gtrounds the racist and personal attacks AA was making are OK and me calling a spade a spade is not ! |

I just posted (and moved it to Dustbin) to using my test account. He is banned from OTW. So if something is broken it is very likely at your end.

If we ban you from OTW this does not mean we would not help you with troubles accessing the other parts of the forum. That's the idea behind the ban from OTW.

Just because someone attacks you (or someone else) gives you no right to attack him yourself, it just may end up with both people banned. Report attacks to the mods and let them deal with it.
While we're at it, stop trolling other threads in GFF.
I'd also appreciate if you would focus on reactivating your gowator account so we can disable this one according to the one-person-one-account policy.

FYI if you are banned (either from OTW or the whole forums) you will get a notice saying so when you try to log in. If you log in and are redirected back to the index without being logged in then this indicates a cookie problem. It's also not limited to Konqueror, I've seen the same behaviour using firefox.

Well that seems to be working now so please go ahead and delete the mhaelstrom account.
However its hard to determine what is going on then you can't login for pm's or anything though and I had forgotten to keep my email address current (now fixed) hence having tried resetting passwords etc. it was still locking me out

This seems a bit catch-22 .. I just did report it and you just told me we are not discussing him! This could go in circles so it seem a bit pointless.
Most of the time I don't even care when someone does have a personal attack at me, everyone has bad days and most people will find some common ground eslewhere but when it goes on post after post it gets boring and when every single post I was making was resulting in a personal attack regardless of the subject matter it starts to piss me off

Thanks, this sounds more like it because I was going around in circles until I created the 2nd account. I tried logging in for pm's also and 3 different browsers ... and not just once but for about the last week since I figured the ban was up and I should be able to log in again... |
