Anybody have a relatively cheap scanner that works well in linux? I would just go by the sane website, but it said a certain scanner works fine, and then on some forums people were having problems with software related to it. So apparently you can't just go by that
Anybody have a success story, worked fine the whole way through?
We have a Scanjet 4470c, which apparently isn't going to be supported in linux anytime soon. Its the only thing keeping me booting back into windows! |

Nabbed an Epson perfection 610 of ebay for cheap a while ago, AFAIK any USB Epson will work with sane just fine. |

I like my Epson Perfection 1260 Photo (has all the transparency & 35mm adapter stuff included). Was $130 w/a $30 mail in rebate at CompUSA a while ago. I had to use plain ole sane-backends sources together with plustek-sane sources to get it working, but it was easy and works great. _________________ MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk
