My /dev/hda7 partition was in a needed of a good fscking, so I just assumed I could just put the stage 1 gentoo cd, boot, run fsck, and all would be fine (except for all those fs corruptions). Instead I had to do some rather complex stuff (for me) to get the fsck files. Since they're so small, and can come in very handy, I suggest adding them to the next iso. |

If you booted from the Gentoo CD, they're in /sbin aren't they? Hell, I even repaired an xfs partition from it and really didn't think they'd have put xfs_repair amongst other stuff on (but they did ). |
