Are there any special steps required to make use of GCC 3.1 within a working Gentoo environment, except for merging? I built everything with 2.95, but merged 3.1 earlier today. As a test I tried merging a little something with the -athlon-tbird -m3dnow -mmmx options, no workee though. Any config files I need to change perhaps? |

This is almost certainly covered elsewhere in this forum. Did you try searching first? |

well, you have to point your make.profile to default-1.0-gcc3
and I also did a bootstrap. To be able to run your old apps, you shouldn't unmerge gcc-2.95.3 _________________ Nope |

Thanks for the input, I think I get the procedure now. And yeah.. I should've looked better through the forum first. |
