I cannot get this to go. I can log onto the FTP server but it can never find the directory I type in.
152.2.210.121 and 64.28.67.101 are the IP's I can log onto.
/pub/suse/i386/8.0 is what I type for the directory. I've also tried some mirror sites but am not sure how they work. Do I need to put in a different IP for them?
I also tried the NFS install instructions and this works find and dandy until the installation begins and freezes. Maybe because it's coming from germany.
Can anyone tell me exactly what to type for fast FTP install from a mirror (I'm in MN USA)? I'm sure it will help out dumbasses like me. I've gotten this to work back in the day with an older version but this sucks.
Thanks in advance.

When I did it, I used "ftp://ftp.mirror.ac.uk" as the server, (may be a "/" at the end of that) and "/sites/ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/8.0" as the folder.
I'm in Oklahoma and this site gave my DSL maximum download speeds. _________________ Registered Linux User #251974 |
