Hi-

Anybody else having problems updating portage on ppcmacos?

Here's where my update is dying:

No package files given... Grabbing a set.


Any ideas much appreciated.

I was running OS 10.3 now running 10.4. I don't know if that has anything to do with the problem.

Here is how I fixed this.

1. changed ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="ppc-macos" to ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~ppc-macos"
in /etc/make.conf

2. ran FEATURES="-collision-protect" emerge --nodeps portage instead of emerge portage.

Thanks - this was exactly the issue I was having. Guess I hadn't read up too much on how to solve collision protection issues.
