Hi,

I've done a couple of searches, to see if this has come up before, but can't find anything.

I'm 99.9% done with my installation, but now I can't get my kernel to finish loading.

I've got the following set up (under vmware):

boot /dev/sda1
root /dev/sda2
swap /dev/sda3

I've used the grub config as in the install manual, except for root=/dev/sda2

When the kernel boots, I get this message about a page before the kernel panic for not finding the root.

kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k scsi_hostadapter, errno = 2

Which I figure causes the kernel root panic.

In /etc/modules.autoload, I've got BusLogic, and sd_mod listed.

Anything else I should check?

Thanks,
Alex

Hi,

From the previous posts on this, I'm guessing it could be happening to others as well.

I, um, forgot to , um, enable my scsi driver in the kernel
